He is a researcher, doctoral advisor and leader of M02 research group of Institute of physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He graduated from the Department of physics of Lanzhou University in 1984 and obtained a doctor's degree from Jilin University in 1993. From 1998 to 2002, he has been engaged in spintronics research in Northeastern University of Japan, University of New Orleans and Trinity College of Ireland. In 2003, it was funded by the national fund for Distinguished Young Scholars; in 2007, it was funded by the innovative research group fund of the national foundation of China; and in 2007, it was selected as the "national candidate of the new century talent project". At present, he is deputy editor in chief of jmmm, editorial board member of spin, sensors and physics. He is mainly engaged in the research of magnetism and "spintronics materials, physics and devices". Eight novel spin quantum effects have been discovered or experimentally observed; more than 10 new prototype devices of spintronics have been developed; more than 380 academic papers have been published; more than 100 Chinese inventions and international patents have been authorized; more than 70 reports have been invited to international academic conferences; four monographs have been edited, including introduction to spintronics and Handbook of spintronics

In July 2007, he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Jilin University (School of Physics). In July 2012, he obtained a doctorate in condensed matter physics from Institute of physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (State Key Laboratory of magnetism). He worked as a postdoctoral fellow at UCLA from 2012 to 2017. In October 2017, he joined the State Key Laboratory of magnetism, Institute of physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He was supported by the youth talent project of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee and the talent project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

He is a doctor of science researcher, member of Institute of physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, director of Science Popularization Committee of Chinese physical society, and executive deputy director of Yangtze River Delta Research Center, Institute of physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is mainly engaged in the research of magnetism and magnetic materials, and has made a series of research achievements in high frequency spin nano oscillator, high density nonvolatile magnetic memory, super sensitive magnetic sensor and so on. He has presided over and participated in more than 20 scientific research projects of the Ministry of science and technology, the NSFC and the Academy of Sciences, published more than 60 academic papers, obtained more than 30 Chinese invention patents, and won the first prize of Beijing Science and Technology Award for some research achievements

He is currently an associate researcher of the Institute of physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He graduated from Zhejiang University in 2007, obtained his doctorate from Tsinghua University in 2012, and engaged in post doctoral research in the Institute of physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences from 2012 to 2016, and has been a research assistant and assistant research fellow of Institute of physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences since 2016. He is mainly engaged in the research of spintronics. His research interests are mainly focused on the condensed state magnetism such as spin orbit electronics, Magnetoelectronics and spin thermoelectronics, and magnetic random storage In the field of R & D of spintronic devices such as devices and spin logic, four Chinese invention patents have been applied for and obtained, one American invention patent has been authorized, and the project has been funded by the youth innovation promotion association of Chinese Academy of Sciences. It has undertaken two NSFC projects and participated in two national key R & D projects of the Ministry of science and technology with the backbone of the projects
